Hot dip galvanizing is used as sacrificial anode to protect cathode metal. Corrosion resistance depends on the thickness of zinc coating and corrosion rate. The thickness of zinc layer in hot-dip galvanizing is generally more than 65um (455G / m2). A layer of zinc alloy is formed on the combined surface of zinc and iron, and the zinc layer enhances the adhesion. In hot-dip galvanizing, deformation is easy to occur.
